Andrea St. Paul Bland is the President of the Board of the Garden District Association and Chairman of the Profiles in Preservation Committee that created and managed the project through which this book was created.
Andrea is a commercial general contractor owning and managing Cygnette General Contractors which specializes in the renovation and rehabilitation of historic housing, utilizing State and Federal Historic Rehabilitation tax credits. Three of the homes featured in the book have been restored by her company.
For her body of work Andrea was recognized as the Louisiana Preservationist of the Year in 2013 by the Department of Culture and Tourism. A New Orleanian, Andrea received a BS in Business and an MBA at LSU. She worked for Tidewater, International Shipholding Corp. and GNO, Inc. collectively for over 20 years. Andrea was a Senior Vice President before starting her own business.
Andrea resides in the Garden District with her husband of 41 years, David, and four Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Andrea is the mother of three children and grandmother of two young boys. Happily, two of her children’s families also reside in New Orleans within a mile of her home.
