Executive Creative Producer Walt Disney Imagineering

As Executive Creative Producer, Charita Carter is responsible for creating, collaborating on, and developing Disney Parks experiences, from blue-sky ideation through delivery. She has functional leadership of all producers at Walt Disney Imagineering. Charita is currently serving as executive creative producer of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at both Disneyland Park in California and Magic Kingdom Park in Florida, inspired by the fan-favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “The Princess and the Frog.”

Charita brings a multidisciplinary background and more than two decades of experience on the Walt Disney Imagineering creative, finance and accounting teams. Most recently, Charita was a senior creative producer and development manager of Walt Disney Imagineering’s Scenic Illusion team, an application and integration team focused on developing new tools and  techniques to supply designers with expanded storytelling capabilities.

Under Charita’s oversight, the Scenic Illusion team has been awarded more than 20 patents for Disney. Charita has delivered attractions for both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, as well as internationally at Tokyo Disney Resort. She produced the award-winning Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The attraction is the first ride-through attraction in Disney history to star Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

Charita began her Imagineering career as a senior accountant and was promoted to finance manager and strategic business partner of the Creative Development Division. From there, she transitioned to development manager of Blue Sky Strategic Initiatives and joined the Creative Division as a show producer. Charita holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University Northridge. She is active in her community, an award-winning nature photographer, a commercial handmodel and an avid gardener.
