Sally Reeves is the retired longtime Archivist of the New Orleans Notarial Archives Division of the Office of the Clerk of Civil District Court. She is a noted local author, lecturer, translator, and architectural historian. She is co-author of the award-winning New Orleans Architecture series, as well as histories of several local institutions and places, from City Park and the New Orleans public markets to architectural surveys of Mandeville, Madisonville, and Covington. Among other interests, she co-authored Notable New Orleanians: A Tricentennial Tribute; and "A Maritime History of New Orleans" for Tulane’s Maritime Law Journal. She is part of the team that produced New Orleans Garden District: Profiles in Preservation, her principal role being to condense the texts of over 100 individual homeowner books to fit the present publication. She was also busy editing individual book scripts and compiling several some of the homeowner histories.
