We have become aware of fraudulent emails from individuals impersonating the New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University. These scam messages invite authors to participate in the Festival or related programming in exchange for a fee. These communications are not affiliated with the New Orleans Book Festival or Tulane University.
The New Orleans Book Festival does not charge featured authors to participate in festival programming. Any email requesting payment in exchange for an invitation to participate as a featured author is fraudulent.
Official communications from the New Orleans Book Festival will always come from an email address ending in @tulane.edu. Our primary Festival email address is bookfest@tulane.edu.
