John Huey

JOHN HUEY has been a writer, editor and publishing executive for more than 40 years. He began his career on newspapers in Georgia before joining the Wall Street Journal where he spent 13 years as a reporter, bureau chief, and managing editor of The Wall Street Journal/Europe. He joined FORTUNE in 1988 and worked at Time Inc. for the next 24 years. As editor of FORTUNE he won numerous awards, including being named one of America’s top ten magazine editors by the Columbia Journalism Review.

Yuri Herrera

Yuri Herrera (Actopan, México, 1970). Has written three novels, all of them translated into several languages: Kingdom Cons, Signs Preceding the End of the World, and Transmigration of Bodies; which have been published in English by And Other Stories. In 2016 he shared with translator Lisa Dillman the Best translated Book Award for the translation of Signs Preceding the End of the World. That same year he received the Anna Seghers Prize at the Academy of Arts of Berlin, for the body of his work.

Jonathan Eig

Jonathan Eig is the bestselling author of Ali: A Life, winner of a 2018 PEN America Literary Award and a finalist for the Mark Lynton History Prize. He also served as a senior consulting producer for the PBS series Muhammad Ali. His first book, Luckiest Man: The Life and Death of Lou Gehrig, won the Casey Award. Eig’s books have been translated into more than a dozen languages and have been listed among the best of the year by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.

Toya Boudy

Toya Boudy specializes in putting a unique twist on New Orleans style dishes and cooks with a Southern flare. As a native New Orleanian, she started honing her culinary skills at a young age and used her talent to kick start a successful career. As a culinary authority on Cajun and Creole cuisine, she enjoys bringing creativity to the kitchen and teaching people how to take a piece of New Orleans back home with them.

Ruth Behar

Dr. Ruth Behar is a scholar, novelist, poet, and public intellectual. She is the James W. Fernandez Distinguished University Professor of Anthropology at the University of Michigan. Born in Havana, Cuba, she has lived in Spain and Mexico and has returned to Cuba to build bridges around culture and art. She is a MacArthur Fellow, a Carnegie Corporation “Great Immigrant,” and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
