Rodger Kamenetz

Rodger Kamenetz is Professor Emeritus of English and Religious Studies at Louisiana State University where he retired as LSU Professor and Sternberg Honors Chair. He helped found the LSU MFA program and was founding Director of LSU's Jewish Studies minor. He's lived in New Orleans since 1995. His prose includes the international bestseller The Jew in the Lotus, its sequel Stalking Elijah, which won the National Jewish Book Award, and The History of Last Night's Dream, which was featured on Oprah Winfrey's "Soul Series." His recent books of poetry include The Lowercase Jew, Yonder and Dream Logic. His latest book, The Missing Jew: Poems 1976-2022 represents a life work in poetry over 46 years and has been called "the Jewish-American Leaves of Grass.
